WebsitemigrationforWestPalmBeachbusinesses
Move your West Palm Beach business website to a platform your team can actually manage, with every page, image, and URL accounted for. I currently run Contentful-to-WordPress migrations for a U.S. government agency, and I bring the same checklist to a twelve-page local site.
Most migrations go wrong in the details: redirects nobody mapped, images that silently 404, form submissions that stop arriving. My process starts with a full content and URL inventory, maps every content type to its new home, and validates the result before anything goes live. You see the new site on a staging URL and approve it before cutover.
01Full content and URL inventory of the current site
02Content model mapping (pages, posts, products, custom fields, media)
03Automated import with validation reports, not copy-and-paste
04301 redirect map and metadata carried over page by page
05Accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA) and performance check before launch
06Staging review, scheduled cutover, and a rollback plan
Local context — West Palm Beach
WebsitesforWestPalmBeachbusinesses
West Palm Beach has drawn a steady stream of finance and professional firms over the past few years, and they sit alongside luxury real estate, the equestrian season in Wellington, and a well-funded arts and nonprofit sector. Much of the audience is seasonal and skews older, which puts real weight on credibility, accessibility and pages that work without a fast connection.
Firms in West Palm Beach often have content that went through review before it was published, so a migration cannot quietly reword things. I move the copy exactly as approved, inventory every page, map old URLs to new ones and validate the redirects before launch, so the search history and the inbound links from directories and press stay intact.
Who I build for in West Palm Beach
Finance, wealth management and legalCopy is often reviewed before it is published, so the site has to present credentials and scope precisely and keep contact paths appropriate for sensitive inquiries.
Luxury real estate and equestrianThe audience arrives in season and researches from elsewhere the rest of the year, so large imagery has to load fast and property or facility pages have to stand alone.
Medical and dental practicesAn older patient base makes legible type, strong contrast and a simple booking path more important than visual novelty.
Arts, nonprofits and eventsEvent calendars, ticketing and donation links need to be current and accessible, because the audience spans every age and device.

04 — Questions
Commonquestions
01Our audience skews older. Can the site be built for that?
Yes, and it is worth being deliberate about. Type sizes and contrast are set to meet WCAG AA at minimum, tap targets are large enough to hit reliably, and the site works with a screen reader or keyboard alone. None of that makes it look dated.
02Can we meet in person in West Palm Beach?
When it helps, yes. Most West Palm Beach projects run remotely by video call and email, and I can travel over for a kickoff or a launch review. I am based on the other coast, so in-person time is planned rather than ad hoc.
03How long does a migration take for a West Palm Beach business?
A typical local business site of 10 to 50 pages takes two to four weeks including review. Larger catalogs or sites with many custom content types are scoped after the inventory.
04Will my site be down during the switch?
No. The new site is built on a staging URL. Cutover is a DNS change scheduled for a low-traffic window, usually under an hour, with the old site kept available for rollback.
05Can my staff still edit the site afterwards?
Yes, and usually more easily. Part of the handoff is a short training session and written documentation for your team.
