01 — The project

The challenge

A high-traffic fitness blog has two audiences: readers who need pages to load fast on any device, and an editorial team publishing new content all the time. The blog also ran a custom JavaScript cart and promotional tools tied into marketing platforms, so every change had to keep sales and tracking working. Development was still on SVN, which made collaboration slower than it needed to be.

Built and maintained a fully custom WordPress backend with in-house themes and plugins serving thousands of daily visitors. Implemented custom tracking systems, promotional tools, and performance optimizations. Designed from PSD mockups and delivered pixel-perfect responsive pages.
